At our AGM on 25 January 2026, members voted in three new committee members. The new committee combines familiar faces with fresh perspectives, and we are looking forward to a strong year for the club.
The New Committee
Our incoming Membership Secretary, Welfare Officer, and Show Manager bring a combined experience of more than forty years in the breed. Brief introductions are below; full biographies will appear on the Committee page.
Membership Secretary
Our new Membership Secretary has been a Norwegian breeder for fifteen years and previously held the same role at a sister breed club. She will be your first point of contact for membership renewals, new member applications, and the members’ newsletter.
Welfare Officer
The new Welfare Officer is a long-standing GCCF judge and brings extensive experience in cat welfare and rescue. He will be available to advise members on welfare concerns and to coordinate with the GCCF Welfare Committee on cases involving Norwegians.
Show Manager
Our incoming Show Manager has stewarded at NFCC and other club shows for many years. She will be running our Annual Show in May and welcomes any members interested in helping on the day — stewarding is a great way to learn the show ropes.
Thank You to Outgoing Officers
The committee thanks the outgoing officers for their years of service. We are particularly grateful to our previous Show Manager who has steered fifteen successful shows during her tenure and remains an invaluable advisor as she steps back from the day-to-day running.
Members can find contact details for all committee officers on the Committee page.
